How To Change HDFC Bank Account Address Online

To Change your mailing address with the Bank, you need to submit a self-attested scanned copy of your Address Proof.
The following documents are accepted as Address Proof for Resident Customer.
1) Passport

4) Aadhaar Card

Step 1: Open the HDFC Net Banking page ( and login to your net banking by entering the UserID and login password. If net banking is not active for your account then you can activate online using your Debit Card.

Step 2: After login, click on the “Profile Details” option. You can see this option on the top right side.

Step 3: In the Profile Details, you will find the “Update Address” option, click on this option and then scroll down and click on the “Update” button.

Step 4: Now a new window will be opened, in this window you need to enter your new correct address same as your document and click on the “Continue”

Step 5: In the last step, select the proof of address document, click on the + button & select the file and then click on the Upload button. Accept the terms and conditions and submit your request.

Done! you have successfully submitted your request to update the address of your HDFC bank account. If your submitted document is valid and matched with your new submitted address then your address will be changed/updated within 7 working days.

To check whether your HDFC bank account address has been changed/updated or not, you can login to Net banking and go to “Profile Details” then click on “Update address”. Here you can view your latest updated address.

Please note, if your document is found invalid your application will be rejected and you can’t change your address online. Select the valid document and upload an attested scanned document. Self-attested means taking the printout of your address proof and signing it and then you can upload it.
