You will receive your Central Bank of India new Cheque Book in an inactive mode by default. So before using it, you need to activate your CBI cheque book first and then you can use it for payments.
Don’t worry you can activate your Central Bank of India new Cheque book online and you don’t need to visit your branch.
For this, we have explained the step-by-step process below. if your new cheque book just delivered to your address then follow these steps and activate it now.
Activate Online New Cheque Book of Central Bank of India Account
Step 1: Open the Central Bank of India Internet banking page and login to your account with UserID and login password.
Step 2: When you login successfully, on the home page click on the “Enquiry & Request” tab and here you will find the “Cheque Book” section. In this section, you can see the “Cheque Book Activation” option, click on it. (Please check the below screenshot for more info)
Step 3: Next screen select your account number and submit.
Step 4: On the next screen, you can view your new Cheque book, select your inactive cheque book and click on the confirm button.
Step 5: Next screen, for authentication select the “OTP via SMS” option and submit.
Step 6: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and submit.
Step 7: Congrats, your new Central Bank of India Cheque book has been activated successfully. Now you can use your Cheque book for payments.
If you don’t have a net banking facility then you can use Mobile Banking to activate your cheque book, here are the steps.
Activate Central Bank of India Cheque Book through Mobile Banking
Step 1: Just login to your Cent Mobile Banking application and on the main home screen, you will find the “Cheque Services” option.
Step 2: In the Cheque Services, you can see the “Cheque book Activation” option, just select and proceed.
Rest all steps and same as we have discussed above, just select your new cheque book and activate it through OTP.
