What is the Block/Unblock Feature in Google Pay (Gpay)
If you are frequently receiving spam UPI payment requests or you want to block an unknown person on Google Pay then you can block those spam/unknown users on your Google Pay account.
The Block/Unblock feature helps you control spam payment requests and unauthorized transactions.
How To Block UPI ID/Mobile Number on Google Pay
Step 1: Login to your Google Pay (GPay) account and tap on the search bar button, you will find all recent users’ UPI IDs and mobile numbers. Just select the person’s UPI ID or mobile number to block.
Step 2: Next screen your selected UPI ID or mobile number chat and the payment screen will be opened. Tap on the ‘three dots’ on the top right side.
Step 3: Next, tap on the “Block this Person” option.
Step 4: In the next step, confirm your blocking request.
Step 5: Done! Your selected UPI ID or mobile number has been blocked successfully. Now this person won’t be able to contact you on Google Pay. If you have blocked mistakenly, you can tap on “Unblock” instantly on this screen as you can see in the below screenshot.
How To Block New UPI ID
If you want to block a new UPI ID which not listed in your recent transaction list, then you can select the “Pay UPI ID or number” option on the home screen and block the UPI ID as we have discussed in the above steps.
How To Unblock UPI ID/Mobile Number on Google Pay
Now suppose you want to Unblock UPI ID or mobile number on Google Pay then follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Google Pay profile section by tapping on the profile picture.
Step 2: Now tap and open the “Settings”
Step 3: In the settings, select the “Privacy & Security” option.
Step 4: Next screen you will find the “Blocked people” option where you can see and unlock the people you have blocked.
Step 5: Now find the UPI ID or mobile number you want to unblock and tap on the “Unblock” option. Done! it will be unblocked instantly.

Ans: Yes, you can block those unwanted spam users on Google Pay, just copy the UPI ID and go to the chat screen where you can block the UPI ID. Please follow the above steps.
