What is Paytm UPI Lite?
Normally when you pay through UPI at any shop, you need to enter the UPI PIN to complete the transaction. Right? Even for small amounts you need to authenticate the transaction with a UPI PIN.

Yes, With Paytm UPI Lite you can make payments of up to ₹500 at any shop or transfer money to any bank account without entering the UPI PIN on Paytm.
Activate Paytm UPI Lite Account & Add Money
To activate UPI Lite on Paytm and loan money, please follow the below step-by-step process:
Step 1: Open the Paytm profile settings and here you can see the “UPI & Payment Settings” option, click and open this option.
Step 2: In the UPI Payment settings, you can see the “Activate UPI Lite” option, please click and proceed.
Step 3: Now you need to add money to your Paytm UPI Lite account. You can load up to 2000 rupees in your account. Enter the amount (max. 2000) and select your default Bank account to load money. This bank account will be used for when you load money again.
Step 4: Next screen you need to enter the UPI PIN to add money from your bank account. Once you enter the UPI PIN, money will be added to your Paytm UPI Lite account.
Congratulations! Your Paytm UPI Lite has been successfully activated, and the money has been loaded into your account. You can now use this added UPI Lite money for making payments and bank transfers. You can make payments of up to 500 rupees without entering a UPI PIN. How To Pay with Paytm UPI Lite
To make the payment, simply choose the “UPI Lite” option in the payment method instead of selecting your bank account.
Step 1: Scan the merchant QR Code OR Enter the receiver’s mobile number/UPI ID to make payment.
Step 2: Now enter the amount (Max. 500) and proceed.
Step 3: In the Payment method, select the “UPI Lite” option and tap on Pay securely to pay. Please check the below screenshot for more info.
Step 4: Done! Money will be sent to the receiver’s bank account.
How To Transfer Paytm UPI Lite Money to any Bank account
You can also send Paytm UPI Lite money (up to 500) to any Bank account (self or other bank account).
The process is simple, just enter the UPI ID, and mobile number or scan the QR code to transfer money.
On the payment screen, select the “UPI Lite” option to make a payment.
How to Check Paytm UPI Lite Balance and Add More Money
You can check your Paytm UPI Lite balance on the home screen. Just login into the Paytm application and at the homepage, you will find the “UPI Lite” section with your available balance as you can see in the below screenshot. You can tap and open the UPI Lite dashboard to add money.
You can also go to the Profile settings and open the “UPI & Payments Settings” where you can see the “UPI Lite” option with your Bank accounts. Tap and open to check your balance and loan money.
